JOINT REPAIR™ is a unique herbal & nutritional formula that helps restore the proper nutritional balance to the joints, by decreasing inflammation and improving function. Recent scientific research demonstrates that both Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis manifest a dysfunction in the maturation and repair of both of the major joint cartilage components: proteoglycans and collagen. Joint Repair is the only product on the market that supports all of the components of the joint.

Glucosamine Sulfate is a precursor and stimulant of proteoglycans synthesis. Glucosamine is the essential component required for new proteoglycan synthesis. Recent studies indicate that Glucosamine may decrease the production of inflammatory prostaglandin E2 and enhance Interleukin 1 (IL-1) stimulated human synovial fibroblasts to repair damaged synovial tissue. Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin Complex (OPC) from grape seeds activates collagen production, repairs damaged collagen fibrils, and protects healthy collagen from free radical damage and inhibits the joint destroying enzyme Collagenase.

Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) is included for its ability to stimulate proline and lysine incorporation into collagen, and enhance the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans, especially hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate in connective tissue repair. (Oral forms of chondroitin sulfate are mostly unabsorbed by the mammalian gastrointestinal tract (0-13%) and are too large to make it to cartilage cells even if they were absorbed intact.).
